🔨 How We Handcraft Resin Lamps (Behind the Scenes)

At ArtFIGU, every resin lamp you see on our website isn't just a product — it’s a handcrafted experience.
Whether it's a glowing dragon, a beloved character like Ranni, or a dreamy forest spirit, each lamp is brought to life one layer at a time.

Here’s how we turn resin, wood, and imagination into glowing magic.

🧱 1. The Idea: From Sketch to Scene

It starts with a story.
Maybe it’s a scene from Elden Ring, a Studio Ghibli mood, or just something we dreamt up at 2 AM.

We sketch the concept, define the pose, and imagine the lighting — because resin art is storytelling through glow.

🧪 2. The Mold & Resin Casting

Once we’ve got the concept, we create or reuse a custom mold.

  • We carefully mix epoxy resin with pigments, glow powders, or glitter.

  • Pouring is done in layers — to create depth, light control, and flow.

🕒 Some lamps require 3 to 5 layers, each needing 6–12 hours to cure.

🎨 3. Miniature Crafting

The miniature inside is the soul of the lamp.
Sometimes it’s sculpted from polymer clay, sometimes 3D-printed — then hand-painted with tiny brushes and a whole lot of patience.

Ranni’s hat alone? Took us 4 tries to get the shading just right.

🌲 4. Base & Finishing Touches

Each lamp sits on a wooden base, usually hand-polished and fitted with warm or cool LEDs.

  • We sand every corner

  • Polish the resin to glass-like clarity

  • Install lighting + test glow angles

Then? Final inspection. And yes — if we’re not proud of it, it doesn’t ship.

💡 Why It Matters

In a world of mass production and soulless RGB, we wanted something different:

Art that glows. Light that tells stories.
